I'm Back

It's been too long. Currently I am using an Indian made double edge safety blade with Taylor of Old Bond St. for daily/work use, and Eucris during weekends. I do have a beard currently, so only the neck. More to follow!

Going back to the good stuff.

I've gone back to uber-lather and the minty concept, and have started using Thayer's Unscented Witch Hazel. I get the cool minty fresh feeling under the skin, and on the outside the Witch Hazel seems to really agree with my skin. It leaves it soft and smooth.

Beard is gone finally...and about the Pakistan DE blade

This one started out pretty rough, but it's calmed down after several shaves. It does demand good prep work, if only in the form of hot water treatment. Tends to get a little rough with the neck area. Almost decided to quit this one, but gonna stick with it for a while longer.

Uh oh. The beard bug has bitten again.

Well I think it's time for another beard. But that doesn't mean I won't still be shavin'. After all my neck still needs trimming, so onward with the Astra. Still holding up as a great shave, as long as the prep is right.

Astra: another smooth shave.

Been using the Astra, it's a very nice DE blade, but does seem to require some good prep work on my end. If I use only a soap, and no other prep, it will punish me. But with some Prorasso pre-shave with a hot towel, and a little Tabac mixed in with my main cream of choice (usually Eucris), it's an excellent shave. I'm afraid to use it during the work week when I have less time for proper prep, don't need to go into work looking like hamburger.

The return of the Feather blade

I've given the Feather another go, and after 2 shaves it's doing great. I've reduced my angle of the DE handle, and it's greatly improved my results.

Tiny Tot Travel Kit

This is fun, maybe the worlds smallest DE travel kit. Hmm...makes me remember Roger Thornhill's moment with tiny shaving...
