So, I almost spent 500 bucks

What happened after that first hour? I contracted RAD (as I understand it means Razor Acquisition Disorder).

I had managed to fill my bookmarks with links to all sorts of "cool" equipment, opened a ridiculous number of tabs in Firefox, and built up my mania to such a crescendo that I thought I was going to go mad if I didn't buy something right there and then.

Then I checked the price tag. And my head.

So I calmed down, and I was smart enough to figure out I didn't know anything. Would I even like this? Could I commit to the process? ( I was at least smart enough to see that it was, indeed a process). I decided yes.

So I created 2 lists : the "Ultimate List" and the "Realistic List". Not wanting to learn on a $150 Dovo and $80 strop, I picked up KenRup's setup for beginners from RupRazor.com. I'm glad I did, it's a great setup, and if I get good and decided to upgrade the equipent later, this will make an excellent travel kit (unless my only luggage is carryon of course....)
